This week Caralee is joined by Angelique Sheedy, the Founder and Managing Director of Flexible Bookkeeping Solutions. Angelique is an incredible businesswoman who is also a student in the Scalable Business Lounge – however, she isn’t a lawyer! Instead, she is a bookkeeper and has been the bookkeeper of Caralee’s law firm for years.
Bookkeeping was one of the first functions of the business Caralee outsourced in her law firm, and she is a believer that unless you are a bookkeeper, you should outsource this task.
In this podcast episode, Angelique speaks about the importance of outsourcing your bookkeeping and getting this task off your plate as a business owner. Angelique hasn’t always felt unstoppable, having been quite fearful in her business and in herself at times, yet has overcome this by having the drive to be independent and successful!
Having been in business for 30-years, starting at 24, Angelique’s shares her journey on the podcast. She started her business because she wanted to do something that allowed her the freedom to look after her child as she didn’t have any family around her, having lived in a different city. Flexibility was a significant driving factor for Angelique to be successful in her organically grown business. Interestingly her company is called Flexible Bookkeeping Solutions; flexibility is a significant core value of hers.
Fast-forward to 2021; Angelique runs an incredible bookkeeping firm with many prominent clients. Investing in an expert bookkeeper will save you a lot of money as it avoids situations where you aren’t following the rules and regulations in the finance department!
