The Power of 20-Minutes Per Day – Podcast Episode 8

This episode I am talking all about the power of 20-minutes per day! This episode is going to really blow your mind as I figured out that 20-minutes out of every day for a year is equivalent to 1 week! One whole week!  I found this statistic so crazy as there are so many things I do with the thought ‘Oh, it will only take 20-minutes…’  I can assure you I won’t be thinking that anymore!

There are so many things I do with that thought, however, there are some things I do for 20-minutes without event planning on it… Instagram springs to mind!  And, I know I am not the only one guilty of this! It is so, so easy to just waste away 20 minutes each day on Instagram or sleeping in for an extra 20-minutes or if you do regular grocery shops a week you probably spend 20-minutes just looking for a park!

This made me think of the concept that I hear a lot of ‘I don’t have enough time to cook breakfast, or I don’t have 10 minutes in the morning to meditate ‘but really, we do have time! You do, and so do I, we may just not see it!

It is a self-limiting belief, that we don’t have time to chase our dreams, goals, and hobbies. Imagine having a whole week for your dreams and focusing only on them! Well, you can! By changing the way your priorities your time and where you dedicate it!

Think about it this way, if you were to dedicate 20-minutes per day to your dreams, goals, exercise, or meditation you would have one full week of doing what you love, rather than mindless scrolling!

You need to mindfully ask yourself, what is it that we could be doing with ourselves for an entire week. Visualize yourself sitting on Instagram for a FULL week! You can’t because it would just be the biggest waste of time and you wouldn’t want to use your time towards something so shallow, because it is simply ridiculous! However, 1 full week focused on doing something beneficial to your well-being will eventually lead you to a better, healthier life!

Now, if during this podcast you have thought to yourself that you spend more than 20 minutes mindfully scrolling per day, do the maths! You are wasting away your life on absolutely nothing beneficial to you.
